Kitchen All Rounder

We’re excited to be launching our new East Ballina site under The Station Grocer brand. While the store will temporarily close for renovations soon, successful applicants will be trained at our other locations so they are fully prepared when the new site re-opens.

We are seeking a reliable and capable Kitchen All Rounder to join our food team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys fast-paced food prep, takes pride in consistency and presentation, and can work efficiently during early morning service.

Position Details

• Employment type: Casual
• Shift times: 4:30am – 11am (early starts essential)
• Shifts per week: 3–4 (including a rotating weekend shift)
• Availability: Weekend availability required

Pay Rates (20+)

• Weekday: $35.18 per hour
• Weekend: $45.89 per hour

Your Role

• Complete all food preparation, including slicing meats and vegetables.
• Cook, grill, heat, and fry menu items to required standards.
• Assemble menu items including breakfast offerings, rolls, wraps, baguettes, and sandwiches.
• Prepare and display food in display fridges and ovens.
• Rotate stock and monitor food quality and freshness.
• Store, handle, label, and date food in line with Australian Food Safety Standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen at all times.
• Work efficiently to deliver consistent quality during busy periods.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food prep role (preferred).
• Ability to multitask and work quickly without compromising quality.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to handle early morning starts.
• Comfortable working independently while supporting the wider team.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
