The Station Grocer is a thriving Australian service station located in Wollongbar, dedicated to providing exceptional service and quality products to our valued customers. As part of our commitment to customer satisfaction, we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Staff member to join our team.

As a Kitchen Staff member, you will be responsible for preparing and making our delicious food menu, which includes a variety of rolls, wraps, baguettes, sandwiches, and hot breakfast food menu. You will also be involved in food preparation for the following day, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and readily available for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble food items according to the set menu, ensuring high quality and presentation standards
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
• Follow established recipes and portion control guidelines
• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as needed
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet customer demands promptly

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred
• Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering high-quality food to customers

Hours and Pay

• 38 hour per week, Monday to Friday
• 5am-1pm
• $32.76/hour
